If you are spending an entire work day at one house, ripping up flooring yourself, you probably won’t make it to the foreclosure auction where the deal of a lifetime could be waiting.
The real money is not saved by everything yourself. I don’t get involved, physically, in any of the work on the jobs that I do. I coordinate them and manage them, I make phone calls, and do some supervision. I check in after the job is done and make sure I am happy with it and then write a check, but there is no reason to physically be doing the work. You don’t have to be the guy with the hammer and the screwgun. There is no money in that. Those guys make $20 an hour. You want to make $200 an hour.
